The third iteration of the Digital Competences Information Ecosystem – DOMINOES project (funded by the Erasmus+ program, Project No 2021-1-RO01-KA220-HED-000031158) course, took place on the premises of the ”Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy between 13 and 17 November 2023. The first two iterations of the course took place in Spain (September) and Malta (October), and were attended by professors and M.A. students from MVNIA and the other partners in the consortium.

The course, which took place over five days, addressed topics such as the cognitive dimension of hybrid war, external information interference, conspiracy theories, social polarization factors, technological tools to combat disinformation, European and national regulation of disinformation, critical thinking to combat disinformation, techniques to combat disinformation and counter-narrative planning. There were also a number of practical exercises on topics such as deconstructing a fake news story and using deep-fakes to amplify a message of misinformation. The course brought together 30 students: 10 from Romania, 10 from Malta and 10 from Spain.

The agenda of each day included thematic exercises, developed on the topics of the above-mentioned discussions. At the end, the trainees received the certificates of participation.
