Graduation ceremony of the 2014 “Constantin Brancoveanu” class from the “Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy – July 2014

The graduation ceremony for the 2014 “Constantin Brancoveanu” class of the undergraduate program at the “Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy was held on July 24, 2014, at the Academy’s headquarters.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the National Penitentiary Administration and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which are partner institutions in the national security, defense and public order system benefiting from academic and professional training of the Academy’s graduates.

Lieutenant General Florian Coldea, First Deputy Director of the Romanian Intelligence Service, Major General Ion Grosu, Deputy Director of the Romanian Intelligence Service, Colonel Niculae Iancu, Rector of the “Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy, coordinators of several SRI units and family members of the graduates were present at the festivities.

The held speeches emphasized the particular importance of the academic and professional training process of the future intelligence officers, as well as the ongoing career specialization, so that they are able to prevent and neutralize asymmetric challenges to the national security.

They also stressed out the importance of the new energy brought about by the young generations of officers to the institutions with responsibilities in ensuring the national security. They are prepared to contribute to the successful fulfillment of the obligations that our country has as NATO and EU member, to better represent Romania on the international scene and to promote national security interests.
