O analiză Abstract: This study investigates the resilience of the Romanian population to manipulation through fake news, specifically in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war. The period from 2020 to 2030 seems to be one of the most challenging in recent times and can be characterized as a decade of crises. This decade, marked by numerous crises, including the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and various geopolitical tensions, has underscored the importance of investigating information warfare. This research explores the impact of strategic disinformation disseminated via social media, traditional media, and other communication channels. The methodology involved a structured survey with 140 respondents, focusing on demographic data, primary sources of information, and binary classification of 60 news items as true or false. The survey revealed significant insights into how different demographic groups, perceive and process information. Key findings include the higher vulnerability of younger individuals and those primarily using social media to misinformation, contrasted with the greater resilience observed in older age groups and those who rely on traditional news websites and applications. The study emphasizes the critical role of information channels in shaping susceptibility to fake news. The results highlight the need for coordinated efforts from authorities, educational institutions, and civil society to enhance media literacy and protect democratic values. The study provides a foundation for future research and practical measures to mitigate the effects of disinformation and strengthen the informational resilience of the population.
